Rare are the musicians in their 20’s able to make a style that’s nearly 35 years old fully theirs without falling in the nostalgia trap playing a parody of what’s supposed to be “old-school” and not really capturing the true essence of what it’s really all about but DEHUMAN are definitely one of these very few bands and if a proof was needed, let’s Fenriz speak:
I like DEHUMAN. They remind me of early PESTILENCE, but faster.
“Black Throne of All Creation“, the band’s 2012 debut, combining elements of such influences as DEATH (the progressive aspects), PESTILENCE and MERCYLESS (the true old-school elements) or SUFFOCATION (the brutal touches) to which they’ve often been compared, is definitely keeping the immortal Metal ov Death’s blood flowing within the scene!
